El eslovaco Miroslav Dvorsky fue un Pinkerton despreocupado y superficial, como corresponde. De caudal importante y juego escénico natural, Dvorsky canta muy bien y su material es homogéneo, a la vez que es un actor efectivo.

Debuting in this show is tenor Miroslav Dvorsky, who plays Tosca’s lover Mario Cavaradossi. The tenor is well-suited for his role, and does well as the show’s romantic-painter-turned-tragic-hero. His baritone arias are warm and nurturing, splashed with humor in Act I, steadily growing in intensity as the show progresses.

Miroslav Dvorsky’s appearance was billed as his company debut, although he had stepped in last week to sing Alfredo in Verdi’s “La Traviata” as a last-minute replacement. Dvorsky’s best moment came in his Act 3 aria, “E lucevan le stelle,” full of liquid phrases and concentrated feeling.
