Since the 2013-14 season,
Andrea Sanguineti has been General Music Director of the G. Hauptmann Theater
Görlitz-Zittau and Principal Conductor of the Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie, conducting
numerous symphonic concerts as well as premieres and revivals of La Traviata,
Le Nozze di Figaro, Jenůfa and Die tote Stadt.
In 2008 he made his debut at
the Staatstheater Hannover and has conducted at various European opera houses
several new productions and revivals. His wide repertoire ranges
from operettas like "Die Fledermaus" or "the Merry Widow"
to several operas by Rossini, Verdi, Donizetti and Puccini and includes also the
German repertoire such as Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde". He
has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Annette Dasch, Lucio
Gallo, Franco Farina, Stefania Bonfadelli, Christiane Bösinger, Silvia Tro
Santafe or Simone Alaimo.
He has recently been Guest Conductor at Opéra de Rouen Haute
Normandie, Theater Dortmund, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Teatro Massimo V.
Bellini in Catania, Teatro Comunale di Piacenza, Beijing Music Festival in
China, Jenaer Philharmonie, Staatsorchester Braunschweig, Orchestra Filarmonica
Italiana, Orchestra del Carlo Felice di Genova, Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta,
Sinfonica Siciliana and Filarmonica Enescu in Bucarest.
Andrea Sanguineti studied piano
and composition at the Conservatory in Genoa and
then conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna as well as at the Milan Conservatory
"G. Verdi". There
he received his diploma as one of the youngest young talents at the age of 23
years in the Department of Orchestral Conducting. He
gathered more experience and inspiration in masterclasses with Gianluigi
Gelmetti in the internationally renowned Academia Chigiana in Siena
and as a solo répétiteur at "Les Jeunes Voix du Rhin", the Opera
Studio of the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg.
